The History of Punk is a radio show on CJSR 88.5FM, Mondays 10-11am mountain time. Each class focuses on a specific topic examined though the punk lens. Students contribute in class, online, or any other way they wish to participate. Since education should be as accessible as possible - with no barriers such as cost, location, or age - starting a radio show on a community station seems like the next best step! This radio show aims to look at punk in its various social, political, and cultural contexts. The program will trace the origins of punk, and its role in activism, protest, dissent, and popular culture.
