Soul in the Horn is a movement which originated in New York City as a collaborative vision between music Curator DProsper and Resident DJ Natasha Diggs as a weekly Friday night function -- a place where diverse cross-sections of artists, musicians, dancers and music lovers could gather to connect, release and expand. They strive to use entertainment and education to bridge cultural gaps from millennials who listen to Kendrick Lamar to jazz connoisseurs who listen to Miles Davis. Music is a universal language. One that binds everyone regardless of age, race or gender. This event celebrates the horn as an instrument and vehicle, and its integral role in various musical genres and its effect on cultures throughout the world. Cultural institutions such as the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Museum, The Shed NYC, Fotografiska, de Young Museum, CityParks SummerStage, The One Hotel, Ace Hotel, and Chelsea Music Hall NYC have all been a home to Soulinthehorn.
