Terry Wogan had already announced his departure from the breakfast show, but just listen to the first 60 seconds of this show – ever the professional there is no slowing down or ‘sagging off’ despite his time being nearly up. No, instead he steps up a gear – even better than ever before – egged on by ‘Deadly’ and Lynn The Tottie from Splott. Listen out for the Sarah Kennedy innuendo re: Sarah Kennedy and Michael Buble – only Wogan could get away with it!!! Terry was true wordsmith, none more so than here; from his description of Nancy Sinatra’s ‘These Boots Were Made For Walking’ his description:’ The perambulating Pamputies of Nancy Sinatra’ but it gets better than that – how about this: A Bright Sunshine Burnishing The BBC – Wogan’s words now converted into a lasting testament the newly renamed ‘Wogan House’. P.S Watch out for the Beavers.
