Lindsay Wesker

Lindsay was a professional writer before he joined the music industry, writing stage plays, a radio play and two episodes of a BBC TV series. In 1981, Lindsay joined Black Echoes newspaper as a journalist, before moving on to become an A&R man at WEA and then A&M Records. In 1986, Lindsay began broadcasting on a then-unlicensed Kiss FM, helped the station win a license and became Head Of Music. Lindsay then worked in A&R at Avex, Mushroom and ZTT. In 1999, Lindsay was employed by MTV to create MTV Base, and then created MTV Hits and MTV Dance. He has self-published a novel about the music industry, 'Thin Pale Foursome' and, in 2013, Lindsay and co-author Dave VJ had their book 'Masters Of The Airwaves' a history of British black music radio, published by Every Generation Media.
