Strictly musical fire pon hypocisy and ignorance that still hold so many people in captivity. Ongoing rumours about Rastafari culture and the aversion to the concept of God among many people makes it hard for us to live freely and play the music we love openly. Especially in the soundsystem business we struggle to survive, lacking the family spirit and mutual support of the past. Each one seems to fight for his own, competing against other sounds, trying to get big and broad and sexy. Modern ways of slavery in my eyes! With the tough rules and regulations from the state, the rising costs of renting a venue and the normal police calling neighbors we already have enough pressure. Let’s all tame our egos, no man should try to be an island! When everybody is talking about freedom, then please let me live the way i choose and don’t judge me for my dreadlocks, my beard, my livity, my red gold and my green. It’s pure and true love we Rasta people deal with, no matter what some people say!
