Joe "THEGIFT" Botlhoko was born and raised in the West of Johannesburg (South Africa)in a location called Kagiso. His stage name THEGIFT is taken from his birth name ‘Mpho’ which means gift. He moved to Western Cape at the age of 17. An aspiring Dj, voice over artist, music producer and digital radio presenter. Specialises in Deep House Music, Studied music at Kue Dj Academy and voice over coaching at South African Voice Over Academy(SAVOA). His love for music and making people dance began at a very young age. From school parties to house parties (when someone's parents were away).
