DJ TURMOIL

DJ Turmoil, started mixing about 1985 with the support of his family and friends. Introduced to the art form of mixing by a couple hood legends in the Inland Empire. Like all DJ's in that era began on two turntables, Technic 1200's and a Numark mixer then. Now in the digital age the system of choice is Pioneer and Serato DJ. Started out with B-Boy sound (Apache, Planet Rock etc.) but eventually moved on to the 80's high energy disco, Euro pop (New Wave) and freestyle music. By the 90's he graduated to House Music, always fond of that soulful vocal deep house sound. Today, Turmoil has returned to his roots of Funk, R&B, and 70's Disco / Soul. Qwik Korner mixes are inspired by a cruising spot in San Bernardino, CA. back in the 80's and early 90's. More so they're a tribute to real music.
