Here’s a selection of my favourite Jazz Dance tracks. There was an amazing Jazz Dance scene in the UK in the late 80’s which I loved. Hardcore, high energy dancing with grace, style and art. I would pirouette and do the splits in a spiritual jazz dance frenzy to the music played by Tony Melville at the Bear Cage and Mosquito Coast in Leicester; the amazing Dingwalls in Camden, London with Gilles Peterson and Patrick Forge; and Jazz Unlimited with Frank Tope in Exeter.

Thank you all for the music and dance sessions which I was lucky enough to be a part. These records were the highlights for me, with ‘So High’ Janet Lawson probably being my favourite track to dance to. The incredible Samba De Flora was the track we sampled for ’Samba Magic’

…For your listening pleasure. Please enjoy.. Love to you all 🙂 Felix
