Described by Big-L DJ Keith Skues as “the ultimate scoop in Radio London’s life”, this collection of edited recordings of the world premiere radio broadcast of the Beatles’ “Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” took place between 5pm and 6pm on Friday, 12th May 1967 and includes the voices of Radio London’s Programme Director, Alan Keen, as well as Big-L DJ’s Keith Skues, John Peel, Ed Stewart and Mark Roman. The Beatles album wasn’t available in the shops until about 3 weeks later.
