DJ Jeff Powell

Jeff Powell is a former Portsmouth DJ & dancer whose shows will ft his wide ranging love of Jazz Funk, Soul & Disco from his residency's at Ellie Jays, The Rendezvous Club, Vagabonds, Funktion Suite, The Sweatbox, Ritzy's, & more. Jeff & his brother Gordon hosted sold out invite only Soul nights & boat cruises in the 70’s & 80’s, special guests included Loose Ends, Phyllis Nelson, David Grant, Jaki Graham, Odyssey & Edwin Star. In the 90’s the brothers ran a house classics night called The Paradise Club. Jeff opened a Record Shop & co-produced remixes for Lou Reed, Nina Simone & Elton John, alongside launching a record label which released one of Jazz FM’s & Blues & Souls albums of the year ‘In Time’ by Richard Earnshaw, FT Roy Ayers, Jocelyn Brown, Kenny Thomas Recently Jeff set up this FB Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/jazzfunksoulanddisco for lovers of the music that shaped his life.
